Half Book Deadline, DONE!

Wow. It's hard to believe that my half book is done.

Here is an excerpt from my book pitch.

"... overall, my intention is to create a work that is at once accessible and complete in its exploration of the craft of creating soldered metal jewelry.  I hope to bring the techniques of soldering to the amateur jeweler and beader in a way that fosters creativity and removes the intimidation and hurdles that keep them from expressing themselves through this craft."

Pretty cool, huh?

More details to come.

Bloggerview!

Thanks so much to Andrew Thornton for posting an interview with me on his blog. He is a terrific writer and it was fun to answer his questions.

He is a jewelry artist, writer and a keen observer of the world around him. He is on my daily blog reader. You might want to add him to yours.

Step By Step Wire Feb/Mar 2011

I'm a cover girl!

Whoohoo! On newstands now! I am so excited to have my Riveted Flower Rings featured on the cover of the latest edition of Step By Step Wire.

If you are looking for those beautiful glass flower beads that I used, They are part of Lampwork Bead Artist, Lisa Kan and you can find them on her website. I just love them!

If you would like to use those colorful metal flower components, you can find those at Glass Garden Beads.

Everything else, including silver and copper strip for the bands, metal design stamps, tools and more, can be found at Beaducation.

You can also find a whole bunch of great classes there as well... but I might be a little biased!

And please do drop me a line if you have any questions about the project, or of your finished pieces. I'd love to see your work.
