It's the final reveal!
This BSBP has been a Journey. I got my beads from my partner, the amazing and talented Barbara Bechel in early April and WOW!!! What lovely beads she sent. I loved each one.
Polymer by Barbara Betchel, Ceramic Focal by Jenny Davies Reazor, Ceramic Round by Suburban Girl Beads, and more assorted pretty things.
They were so appropriate for me right now as the main focal bead was stamped with the word "Journey". That's just what I have been doing this year... on a journey through the bead world (and metal world).
When I got the package I was so excited. What better thing to get a pretty package in the mail. And then the planning began. Planning, and planning, and swirling the beads around. Mixing. Auditioning them with other beads... and nothing.
My muse was on vacation. I just could not find the right combination or project.
So I took 'em on a journey. I have been traveling so much this year, teaching and TV appearing and spreading the creative love. I figured : "What the heck, maybe one of my classes will spark some inspiration." So off they went, tucked into my carry on bag.
Thank goodness for the inspiration of my students. In one of my classes at BeadFest, I set out the beads, you know, just in case.
And BOOM... This necklace was born:
My horde was a perfect match for the beads that I created in my Dapped, Capped and Soldered Beads class. I think it's the perfect match... The wirework gives the beads breathing room, and the dapped and soldered beads provide texture and interest.
Whew. That was a close one.
Here are some closeups:
Thanks so much Barbara. I loved, loved, loved working with the beads you sent. And a big, big thanks also to Lori Anderson our lovely hostess. I know it's been a rough year for you, but you are persevering with style and grace.
The link to Barbara's reveal is here. You are one talented polymer goddess. (We missed the list as we postponed from the second reveal.) What beautiful pieces she made from the beads that I sent.
Here is a list of the other participants. I'm gonna grab a cup of coffee and settle in to all the pretty everyone made. Enjoy!

Who's with me?
Hello lovelies!
This Sunday I am teaching at my favorite place to craft... A Work of Heart in the charming hamlet of Willow Glen, in San Jose CA.
We'll be wielding a torch to make a charming sterling silver necklace and earring set. No experience? No problem! I am bringing the torches and will hold your hand every step of the way. There is still time time to enroll at a special reduced price (through the 26th) and if you have not been to AWOH yet, it's the perfect time to introduce yourself to this fabulous space.
Hope to see you there. I promise good times and hilarity will ensue.

Guest Pinner for Craftsy.com
Do you Pin? I must admit that I am addicted to Pinterest. I can spend hours adding interesting stuff to my Pinboards. I pin all kinds of cool stuff. Craft ideas. Display ideas. Tutorials. And even a board dedicated to the adventures of two eccentric ladies through the ages. You can follow my boards to see what I pin on a regular basis.
If you are not hooked yet, let me give you a reason to jump in and get started. The fine folks at Craftsy.com asked me to be a guest pinner on their fabulous Pinterest board. So that means from now until April 7th, I am pinning all kinds of interesting things on my special Craftsy Guest Pinner board for you to peruse. You can see my special pins for Craftsy.com here.
Read more about why and what I like about Pinterest on the Craftsy blog. And if you have not started pinning yet... I take no responsibility for what might happen if you do! (Set a timer and give yourself a 15 minute time limit or you will wonder where your life went!)
Enjoy!
